Fanfiction: Akatsuki Fight

The loud explosion of blasting clay sounded near the blonde man. The sound was near deafening, but he was used to it. Deidara watched his masterpiece with a smile on his face and waited impatiently to see it’s full destruction. He saw with sadistic glee that the Sand ninja had his right leg blown off and was now moaning in pain.

He walked over to his prey and was amused to see the widening of his eyes and the labored breathing becoming worse. He could almost hear the quick pounding heartbeat. He stared at the man for a moment before pulling out a kunai, which only caused the ninja to let out a gasp and attempt to move away. It was too late for him though, and Deidara stabbed the man in the chest where his heart should be. After a moment of inner excitement on the Akatsuki member’s part, he nonchalantly walked off to find the baka known as Tobi.  

Suddenly, he heard the sound of swift footsteps coming his way, he didn’t even bother to turn around when another man entered the clearing and stopped dead in his tracks when he discovered his teammate’s lifeless body. His gaze then turned to the effeminate murderer, and he was suddenly filled with so much rage that he started to attack Deidara with his strongest taijutsu. This would be his downfall because he headed into battle recklessly and blindly.

Deidara calmly moved to the side as a fist flew past him. He grabbed the arm and twisted it behind the opposing shinobi’s back. He applied more pressure until he heard the sickening crack of his bone. The Sand ninja cried out in pain, but this didn’t stop him from pulling away and starting a new approach to take down Deidara.

He moved backwards a few paces and then at an alarming speed, he began to run around and behind the blonde man and swung around to kick his neck. Deidara had already predicted the move and countered by evading the attack and discretely attached a clay spider to the pant leg of the man. Undeterred, the chunnin was about to begin another taijutsu attack when the Akatsuki member finally decided it was time to detonate his bomb. He moved to form the necessary seals and watched with a smirk on his face at the shocked look on the man’s face milliseconds before his second bomb that day exploded.

After it was over, Deidara decided to leave for real this time before another boring enemy came. He moved past the tall trees and navigated his way through the forest. He followed a path of footprints to another clearing about a half mile away. There, he saw Tobi fighting off a jonin, and the blonde noted that the idiot had already managed to kill two shinobi of his own. He watched for a while to see how Tobi would handle fighting off a single jonin level ninja.

The orange masked man thrust his foot high hitting right under the chin of his opponent. The other man stumbled back a few steps before creating three clones. The first two were obviously being used as a diversion as they boldly ran towards Tobi, but they were nothing to him as he pulled out two kunai, one in each hand, and swiftly cut through the two causing them to poof into a cloud of smoke. Then, a fist came in from behind, but only managed to brush against Tobi’s head before his punch was returned by the masked shinobi. He too burst into a cloud of smoke. Now, he had to find the real one. A flame suddenly came towards him from above and Tobi was only minutely worried before getting out of the way of the fire jutsu. He then pulled out some shuriken and threw them at the other man. His opponent fell limply to the ground.

“Deidara-senpai!” Tobi exclaimed happily to his partner after a moment. “Aren’t you happy to have such a powerful shinobi working with you?” He said with a grin that the blonde couldn’t see.

“I wasn’t aware that Sasori-danna has come back from the dead and was working with me, yeah.” Deidara replied with a smirk before turning around and walking away knowing fully well that Tobi would follow. Tobi stood still for a moment before his partner’s words finally sunk in and then realized that he had walked away.

He ran after him while shouting, “hey! Deidara-senpai! Wait for me!” The blonde chuckled at his foolish comrade.
